The Bait House

Talk about Nirvana! We drove 6 hours to soak up the atmosphere here at the Bait house. The views are absolutely stunning even with the new construction going on. I highly recommend anything on the menu but if you want to taste heaven try the Drunken Shrimp. The slow velvety heat in bourbon reduction will have you scraping the bowl clean. I love the catch of the day options and the smoked whitefish was a great addition to any meal. Now if I could only bottle that and take it home.

Came to the Bait House for a late lunch. The food is simple and tasty. Katrina was a great server. Very friendly and helpful with the menu selections. We ordered the seared tuna nachos and seafood cakes. We were happy with both. A solid lunch spot if you’re in Clearwater, Florida. There’s also a nice view and fresh air.

Get the drunken shrimp. I was licking the bowl I was halfway done before I remembered to take a picture. This is a great local spot in Clearwater that everyone must try. My wife and I loved it & will be back every time we visit.

We had a great time here. The best time to go is about 7:45-8:00 in the summertime so it’s not too hot and the breeze keeps you cool. We got the drunken shrimp and the burger and both were amazing. We finished off with the key lime tart which was delicious! We’re visiting from out of town, but would definitely come visit again.

You can’t get more traditional and flavorful than this place! All their dishes are made with fresh fish of the day, and you can choose how you’d like it prepared — all from the same catch! An excellent option! The preparation is top-notch, with great quality and flavor. The service is very good, and the atmosphere is excellent. It’s definitely a place everyone should visit to enjoy delicious dishes and great beer in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended! 🍺🐟👌🏻 Btw the drunken shrimp are awesome!
