Fantastic! A+ 1st visit and it was AWESOME! 5:30 pm on a Sat. Greeted and seated quickly. We chose outdoor seating. Janine was a wonderful server. Food was DELICIOUS! Side salad was delicious. Grouper sandwich was the best I’ve had. Wife chose ravioli special. It was amazing. Food was top notch quality. A+ all around. They do off complimentary valet parking which made it super simple arriving. Give it a try and leave a rating to help others.

My mom , sister and I were looking for a restaurant in walking distance of our hotel. The Backwaters restaurant was a short walk and did not disappoint. My mom had the crab cakes and said they were out of this world. I had the chicken parm sandwich. It was massive and soo good. My sister had a cheeseburger and raved about it. Our waitress, Jenn, was such a joy. She was friendly, welcoming, attentive and super helpful when selecting our entrees. We dined outside overlooking the bay and the view was amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Lwk overall it was a great seaside experience, the firecracker shrimp beats CPK by a mile and all other food was good, when chosen to have it “blackened” it was almost too strong of a flavor. The waterside seating was great and saw fish of some sort. Service was good and attentive. Great, highly recommend

We went there Sunday night Easter night to be exact for an early dinner. Our server was great. The first few minutes. I was on a business call so I needed a few minutes before I could look at the menu for an order. She seemed annoyed and walked off. We were there probably 20 minutes before we were brought any water or even offered anything to drink even though I was on a business call they could’ve at least taken my fiancé’s order. We had mentioned we wanted to start off with an appetizer, which was the nachos, but I also wanted to order dinner at the same time that was ignored so they could just bring us our appetizer so there was another 25 to 30 minutes that went by then after our appetizer was done, we sat there for another half hour waiting for somebody to come over and take our dinner order. We were seated with a great view by the water atmosphere was great. I could’ve done without multiple tables around us doing nothing for an hour, but swearing repeatedly disgusting, and dis tasteful sexual jokes that you could hear across the dock. There were many other places available outside to set we even asked several times if we could be relocated because my fiancé was not comfortable with the estate neighbors that we had by us. We were pretty much ignored on that front. We were given the only table to the side of the dog that was left completely unshaded and stuck out in the sun so sitting out there for two hours getting burned and everything while everybody else was getting nice cool shade don’t get me wrong. The food was great the third and fourth servers were we eventually got were solid. It just didn’t seem like they were very organized or really cared to come around and see if you needed anything and in the future I would recommend anybody if you tell them you need a few minutes. Don’t because they take a few minutes as coming back to ask you almost an hour later if you’re finally ready to eat anything, I understand that it was Easter and all but we had five different service come to our table and two of them were just absolutely rude, but I can’t diminished the quality of their food, which was really good. Some of the service could use a attitude check

What a perfect 4th of July evening at Backwaters! We started in the bar with a couple of drinks, watching the Braves game on their many sports screens. The bartender was attentive and friendly the whole time. We then moved out to the beautiful bayside dock seating. Our server was super friendly — she walked us through the menu and helped us pick our orders. The lightly blackened Captain’s Platter was absolutely delicious, and everything came out hot and fresh. We ended the night with over 30 minutes of watching dozens of fireworks shows lighting up Tampa Bay. The location is perfect — close enough to Coachmen Park to enjoy Clearwater’s show in full glory. Great food, excellent service, and an unbeatable waterfront atmosphere. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!"
