A Dazzling Display of Holiday Boat Parades Light Up the Waterways of St. Pete-Clearwater


ST. PETE-CLEARWATER, Fla. (Dec. 6, 2024) – The holiday season in Pinellas County is set to sparkle with a variety of festive holiday-themed boat parades. From traditional land parades to dazzling nautical displays - all free of charge - there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

  • Annual Holiday Boat Parade at Tarpon Springs: The Tarpon Springs Recreation Division returns for its 35th Annual Holiday Boat Parade on Dec. 6, a beloved tradition that will once again light up the Anclote River and Spring Bayou with festive decorations and holiday cheer. Beginning at approximately 8 p.m., boats adorned with twinkling lights and festive themes will make their way through the waterways.

  • Downtown St. Pete Lighted Boat ParadeVisitors will be dazzled when they see St. Pete's beautiful downtown waterfront during the annual holiday boat parade, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 from St. Pete Municipal Marina! Spectators should be able to view the illuminated boats from prime locations along the waterfront, including the St. Pete Pier, the Vinoy basin, North Shore Park, and Flora Wylie Park.

  • Clearwater Yacht Club Holiday Boat Parade: The annual Clearwater Yacht Club Holiday Boat Parade returns this Dec. 14 to dazzle spectators with its stunning display of holiday lights and festive decorations. The parade will launch just north of the Mandalay channel bridge and follow its traditional route northward, allowing spectators to enjoy the spectacle from waterfront restaurants and hotels. Visitors will not want to miss this holiday tradition! Come out and witness the breathtaking light show on the water.

  • Palm Harbor Christmas ParadeThe annual Palm Harbor Christmas Parade is set to kick off the holiday season on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. through 12 p.m. in downtown Palm Harbor. Visitors will enjoy a delightful parade filled with holiday cheer, featuring festive floats, marching bands, and more.

  • Annual Festival of Lights Boat Parade in Madeira Beach: The 58th annual Madeira Beach Holiday Boat Parade will illuminate the waterways on Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The festive parade will begin at American Legion Post 273 and make its way through the city's charming canals, culminating at John's Pass around 9:45 p.m. A pro-tip for spectators is to gather at ROC Park for the best viewing experience. While enjoying the dazzling display of lights, attendees can also partake in holiday music, explore the Merry Market, and savor delicious food.

  • Indian Rocks Beach Boat Parade: Visitors are sure to be amazed with this year’s Indian Rocks Beach Boat Parade! This spectacular event will light up the Intracoastal Waterway on Dec. 21 from 5-10 p.m. As festively decorated boats glide through the water, spectators along the shore will be captivated by the magical holiday atmosphere.
