Light It Up - NYE Fireworks Celebration on Clearwater Beach

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Light It Up Clearwater, presented by Shephard’s Beach Resort. Relax with your toes in the sand, catch a beautiful sunset and grab a bite to eat before welcoming 2027 with fireworks at midnight. Named one of the top five kid-friendly places to ring in the New Year by U.S. News Travel, Clearwater Beach makes a festive setting for this free, family-friendly celebration.

Fireworks will launch from the northernmost part of Sand Key Park, which will be closed to the public. For the best views, find a spot on the southern end of Clearwater Beach. The display will also be visible along the beach.

Start your New Year’s Eve festivities early with Sunset to Sparkle at Pier 60 Park. This new, free event runs from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2026, with live entertainment, local artisans, street performers and family-friendly activities. A fireworks finale will commence at 9 p.m. over Clearwater Beach, giving families a chance to celebrate before the midnight Light It Up Clearwater show.
