At 3 Daughters Brewing, craft beer is more than art, it’s a lifestyle. From the state-of-the-art, in-house brewing process to live music, food trucks and games, this is a hangout that defines the craft beer scene in St. Petersburg.
The Brewing Process at 3 Daughters Brewing
Beer enthusiasts, take a tour of the brewery, pick a pint from the 60-plus beers on tap, and head into the open floorplan brewhouse where you can watch the brewers in action. The tour takes beer buffs through the entire brewing process from the initial step of grain being crushed in the mill to the lautering and fermentation process, all performed in-house. Once hops are added for the desired flavor and aroma, and the fermentation process has taken place, a staff lab specialist tests the beer for quality. 3 Daughters Brewing even partners with the University of South Florida St. Petersburg for an internship and Brewing Arts program to create and perfect new recipes.
When the beer is fully conditioned and tested, it is moved to the brite tank for one day to be carbonated, making it ready for kegs and cans. They are then filled with carbon dioxide and beer to eliminate any contact with oxygen. The canning line runs at 40 cans per minute or 100 cases per hour, producing a whopping 8,169 cans per pallet.
The Tasting Room at 3 Daughters Brewing
