FLATBREAD & BUTTER was first thought of when owner Jesse Muire lived in NYC with then-girlfriend & now wife, Rebecca! Moving up together after college it became hard not to get constantly inspired surrounded by the culture of a city so creatively diverse & ever-changing. The concept for FLATBREAD & BUTTER was born out of a combination of some of his favorite things there: a flourishing coffee culture, amazing breakfast joints & a historic pizza landscape.

Noticing that food choices at their favorite coffee spots many times didn't extend beyond pastries, the goal became to use flatbreads (believing a lighter & more nutritious option than pizza) as a new way to bring menu items & ingredients you might find at your preferred breakfast/brunch spots, while not sacrificing the same laid-back atmosphere.
