El Cap

Great local vibe with plenty of parking, friendly service, and that classic St. Pete feel. Spacious sitting and covered outside sitting. We ordered cheeseburgers cooked their preferred medium‑rare, split an order of fries, and each had a beer. The burgers were good. Reminded me of my childhood burgers. I wish they were a bit bigger. They come on a tiny plate….Fries were okay; we added a good amount of salt to bring them to life. Overall, it’s a laid‑back spot with a nice atmosphere, and we’d definitely return.

Came here for a real early dinner (4:45p ish) tonight and it was a great call. This place has been on my radar for awhile. It started with the ever friendly bartender, Dennis. He was very welcoming and it felt like a true neighborhood bar. After a Mich Ultra, I dove into their Medium Rare, “World Champ Cheeseburger” with lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. It was a simple, perfect burger. It’s really nothing fancy, just a straight up good burger with great flavor. That’s it. You add the warm atmosphere and this place is great! Parking is available in the front but the back has more spaces.

Great burger place to stop at before catching a game at the Trop. Burger was juicy and tasty. Also really enjoyed the fried broccoli cheddar bites as an appetizer. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, even to a guy in a Yankee cap.

El Cap is the kind of place that reminds you why local restaurants become legends. The burgers are absolutely delicious—fresh, juicy, and cooked just right. You can tell they focus on doing the classics well, and they definitely deliver. What really stood out was the service. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy taking care of their customers. Our food came out quickly, everything was exactly as ordered, and we never felt rushed. If you're looking for an old-school burger spot with great food, outstanding service, and a fun local atmosphere, El Cap is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be back!

Old school burger place that does not disappoint. This is a step back in time ina good way. They have variety on their menu but it is a burger place. They focus on making a fantastic burger and not trying to fancy it up. A good SOLID burger that's what you get. I will definitely be back and definitely recommend El Cap it is fantastic.
