Clearwater will celebrate Juneteenth this year from June 15 - 18th as part of the city's Living Culture Series. Below are the series of events to look forward to:
Thursday, June 15th: Artz 4 Life Academy at 1751 Kings Highway will host a free Painting with a Purpose Party from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. *SOLD OUT*
Friday, June 16th: Juneteenth Movie Night will be held at Buccaneer Field, 905 N MLK Jr. Ave. from 6:30 - 10:30 p.m. It will feature a free movie, with food and popcorn available and also a special appearance by the Buffalo Soldiers. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Saturday, June 17th: The North Greenwood Recreation & Aquatic Complex, 900 N MLK Jr. Ave., will host a free business expo from 6 - 10 p.m., followed by a fashion show and dance for $25 (including food) from 7:30 - 11:59 p.m. and a performance by Dundu Dole African Dance & Drums at 8:30 p.m. You can get your tickets here.
Sunday, June 18th: The Father's Day Edition of The Gospel Experience will take place for free from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. at Matheos Hall, 409 S. Old Coachman Road.
