Join encaustic artists Gina White and Francine Michel at Creative Clay for Encaustic Enhancements and create a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork.
Encaustic paint, an ancient art medium made from melted wax and pigment, is incredibly versatile. Becoming familiar with the different ways it can be manipulated is an important part of working with this material. During this two-hour introductory workshop, we will touch on several techniques that add color, texture and highlights to your wax piece. We will work with oil pigment sticks, oil pastels, pan pastels, charcoal, and rice paper to enhance and embellish encaustic wood panels, creating unique one-of-a-kind artwork!
