Administration Department
The St. Pete-Clearwater Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, also known as Visit St. Pete-Clearwater (VSPC), is a department of the Pinellas County Government and the official tourism marketing and management organization for Pinellas County.
Visit St. Pete-Clearwater is charged with building the county's economy by increasing visitor spending and creating opportunities for job development, training, and retention in the tourism industry for county residents. Our team works globally to attract and serve the needs of leisure travelers, media, travel industry professionals, sports promoters, and film producers through research-driven marketing programs.
VSPC also leads a community-based team to educate local residents about the benefits of tourism in our communities. In addition, our organization works with varied interests to assist in the development of new attractions and the redevelopment of others. Advertising & Promotions Department
The Advertising & Promotions Department oversees Visit St. Pete-Clearwater's overall brand awareness and traditional advertising efforts in coordination with its contracted advertising agency. The Advertising & Promotions team supports all departments with advertising and sales material to facilitate the CVB's business objectives.
The Advertising & Promotions team strives to increase visitation to St. Pete-Clearwater through targeted programs and communications that generate demand and differentiate the destination from competitors. Integrated media placements target key metrics and demographics through TV, newsprint, online, outdoor and print mediums. Through advertising and media promotions, this team creates highly impactful integrated marketing communications targeted to key markets.

Community & Partnerships Department
In collaboration with our industry partners, the Community & Partnerships Department is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of professionalism for the hospitality industry. This department serves as a liaison between Visit St. Pete-Clearwater and the 14 chambers of commerce throughout Pinellas County. It also maintains partnerships between industry organizations and businesses.

Film Commission
Every year, over 200 feature films, commercials, TV series, and digital media projects are filmed in St. Pete-Clearwater. The Film Commission's (Film SPC) cash incentive program helps attract Studio Features like Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, independent features and more. Some of the most recent projects filmed in the area include "A Taste of Love" (a Hallmark original movie filmed in Dunedin) and HGTV's popular "Rock the Block" show (filmed in Treasure Island).
The film commission participates in direct marketing and trade missions at major film markets, festivals and tradeshows in North America and internationally. Film SPC supports local signature events like the Sunscreen Film Festival. These events showcase the area to out-of-town producers and filmmakers, helping to bring new productions to the area. Additionally, these events are a major tourism draw for the St. Pete/Clearwater area.
Film SPC fosters industry development with free workshops, an online production guide and location database. The Film Commission is focused on creating branded digital media content, and industry development of in-destination digital media content for YouTube, Vimeo, Hulu, Amazon and other digital platforms.

Leisure Travel Department
With several international offices as well as a team of tourism marketing professionals in Pinellas County, the Leisure Travel Department is positioned to market the St. Pete-Clearwater area to potential visitors worldwide.
The mission of the Leisure Travel Department is to utilize proven destination sales & marketing strategies to impact consumers and the travel industry, sending tour and travel business to Pinellas County.
The St. Pete-Clearwater area is presented as a distinctive and vibrant destination, featuring three of the top-rated beaches in the United States. Pinellas County offers visitors 35 miles of beautiful beaches, each with its own personality. Our destination is rich with heritage, culture and outdoor adventures waiting to be explored.
The Leisure Travel Department participates in a variety of consumer shows, retail travel agent dinners and training seminars, domestic and international wholesale product launches, sales missions and ongoing destination training with key digital travel partners. This approach allows the team to access a diverse cross-section of potential visitors and travel decision-makers.

The Meetings, Conventions & Event Services team works in conjunction to support the requirements of meeting planners.
Meetings & Conventions
The Meetings & Conventions Department provides meeting planners with extensive and reliable assistance to help them plan their perfect meeting from start to finish. Based on the meeting planners' criteria, Meetings & Conventions may also direct RFPs to hotels that can accommodate the specific needs of a particular meeting. Proposals are then sent directly to the meeting planner. This team also assists with site visits by planning itineraries, providing transportation to facilities, and arranging for complimentary accommodations, if needed. We are a full-service Convention & Visitors Bureau and there is no charge for any of our services.
Event Services
The Event Services area provides meeting planners with an easy way to extend their planning team by offering a variety of free services.

Sports & Events Department
The Sports & Events Department is the official sports programming and event management organization for the St. Pete-Clearwater Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. The department oversees all marketing activations for Elite Events supported by Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, sports programs and special events.
