FilmSPC Screen Industry Incentive Program
Welcome to St. Pete-Clearwater Film Commission's Screen Industry Incentive Program! Our mission is to promote Pinellas County as a premier destination for film, television, and digital media productions. By choosing Pinellas County, you'll not only benefit from our vibrant community and stunning locations but also take advantage of our generous incentive offerings.
The Screen Industry Incentive Program
Our Screen Industry Incentive Program offers an up to 15% base cash rebate on total qualified local expenditures made within Pinellas County and its 24 municipalities. This rebate applies to both above- and below-the-line expenses, including but not limited to location fees, accommodations, food, construction materials, props, and vehicle rentals. There is no minimum spend requirement. To qualify, your project must have a fully executed agreement with Pinellas County and meet all mutually agreed-upon deliverables.
Uplift Incentives
In addition to the base rebate, your project can qualify for up to an additional 15% in uplift incentives, increasing the potential cash rebate to up to 30% of your total qualified local expenditures. To achieve this, your project must provide extra marketing value and promote Pinellas County as a top destination. Examples of qualifying activities include:
- Showcasing Recognizable Locations: Incorporate beauty shots and references to key landmarks and attractions in Pinellas County.
- Marketing Activities: Utilize signage, verbal mentions, and other promotional strategies to highlight the area.
- Social Media Promotion: Implement a robust social media plan to increase visibility.
- Distribution Commitments: Secure distribution deals or commit to premiere and screening events in the county.
- Press Tours and Junkets: Host media events that feature Pinellas County locations.
A determination of whether a project meets these standards will be made at the discretion of the FilmSPC review committee.
