North Shore Aquatic Complex

We went to the kids pool at North Shore Aquatics Complex for the first time today and our 3.5-year-old had a great time! As you walk in it gradually gets deeper. My son enjoyed spraying us with the water squirters. The lifeguard informed us that there isn’t a height requirement to go on the two kids water slides, but that you aren’t allowed to wear a life jacket down it and that everyone must know how to fully swim independently to go on it. Adults are permitted on them. There are two other lap swimming pools at the center and they were busy with swim meets today. The aquatic center has free parking (first come first served). The aquatic center is walking distance of North Shore Park Playground which has some swings, slides, and climbing equipment. The playground is NOT fenced and has a bike/walking trail next to it. Downtown St. Pete is beautiful and we went to lunch after! We normally go to the pier as well but it had a big event going on today.

So nice to have a outdoor swim complex. Parking is not too bad either, street parking available. Bathrooms are clean. St Petersburg city is safe and upbeat. We made a vacation out of the swimming event for the whole family. Would recommend if you have a out of town event. A ton of nice restaurants available. We saw dolphins 🐬 a Manity and sting rays by the sea wall of the walking trail by the ocean.

Amazing place to enjoy with family and friends or couples only for all occasions 😍 my husband and I loved it. Everything is close by swimming pool, beach and restaurants/bars...you will have great time and it's affordable.

Awesome Facility. Came down for the 2026 ISCA East Coast Elite Showcase. Restrooms were clean. Right on the water, what else could you ask for?
