Rooms were nicely decorated. Bathroom was a little bit awkward because you had to shimmy to the side of the toilet to exit the water closet. The beds are also pretty hard (which was fine with me but my husband struggled to get comfortable). The service at the pool was exceptional. They are very aggressive about removing towels of people who are no longer at the pool. Despite it being a busy weekend, we were always able to get chairs by the pool. We felt like the spa area was underwhelming. We also felt like the check in service could have been improved (very mechanical check in). No welcome drink, no suggestions on what to do while we were here, no asking us if we were celebrating anything, & I felt the person at check in could've been friendlier. Also, every day we came back to our room, the room hadn't been cleaned. The cleaning service consistently cleaned when we went for dinner which was odd. All the food I ate at Elliott Aster was really good, but my husband wasn't a huge fan of his entree. The wait for our entrees was also extremely long. Obviously it's a pretty hotel, historic, in a good location for downtown St. Pete. But we probably won't be back. It was an ok experience but not worth it for the money IMO.

The beautifully preserved historic architecture gives the hotel so much character while still feeling elegant and luxurious. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The location is unbeatable. It's an easy walk to so many great restaurants, shops, and attractions downtown. We also loved that the hotel provides reusable water bottles with filtered water stations throughout the property. Another thoughtful touch was receiving vintage Vinoy postcards at check-in that the hotel mailed for us once filled out. It was such a unique and memorable welcome. The pool area was fantastic, with plenty of seating, attentive staff, great food, and cold drinks. The golf course was pristine, and the front porch with its rocking chairs and couches was one of our favorite places to relax. The Vinoy truly delivers a unique experience with exceptional service and attention to detail. We left impressed and will absolutely be back

Our stay at The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, blending historic charm with modern luxury in a way that feels both elegant and welcoming. Every detail of the property is well-maintained, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're staying somewhere truly special. The floral arrangements deserve their own review! they were exquisite! The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, attentive, and professional, and the level of service throughout our stay was top-notch. Whether we were dining, exploring the property, or simply relaxing, the experience consistently exceeded our expectations. They provided us with metal water bottles to fill with still, sparkling or tap water that was located throughout the hotel, which I thought was a nice touch. The location was perfect. Right on the water, and right in the middle of shopping, food and entertainment within walking distance. The Vinoy is the kind of place that turns a trip into a memorable experience. If you're visiting St. Petersburg and looking for a luxury hotel with outstanding service, beautiful surroundings, and great amenities, I highly recommend it. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit.

Did not stay here yet. Went for the Sunday brunch in the Elliott Aster restaurant. The atmosphere and service was great. I Had the steak and eggs , the 6 Oz filet was cooked to perfection and the seasoning was very good. Wife had eggs bacon and potatoes and she loved the fluffy scrambled eggs. We shared the Warm Pecan sticky buns which were also great. Started out with 2 glasses of champagne, (celebrating anniversary), and they gave us 2 more on the house. Would highly recommend the Vinoy for any restaurant. Will be going back soon for dinner in the other restaurant. It is open to the public as well as guests. Reservations are suggested. Sorry, no pics of the food.

Visited their beautiful bar called the Elliott Aster on two occasions and it did not disappoint. Sat at the bar during the first visit and the bartenders were lovely and very knowledgeable of their spirits. Sat in the lounge chairs and enjoyed the drinks once again and all the people watching. Although very pricey even for a hotel bar standards but the experience was well worth it. Great girls night out, couples date or a quick drink and bite just be prepared for the high price tag.
