After the recent storm, the beloved Sloppy Joe’s restaurant on Treasure Island faced challenges but quickly bounced back through resilience and community spirit. The Bilmar Beach Resort, where Sloppy Joe’s is located, sustained significant effects from the storm, but has reopened and welcoming beach lovers once again. However, thanks to the raised foundation of Sloppy Joe’s, the damage to the restaurant itself was surprisingly minimal. The primary issues involved sand covering the front drive and an accumulation of debris. Yet, the Sloppy Joe’s team came together, disregarding titles and traditional roles, to clean up and reopen as soon as possible.

In the days following the storm, Sloppy Joe’s staff showed up in full force, embodying a "get-it-done" attitude. Everyone pitched in, doing whatever needed to be done to prepare the restaurant to welcome guests again. With this rapid recovery effort, Sloppy Joe’s quickly opened its doors within 48 hours, and the staff was thrilled to see many friendly, familiar faces returning to the restaurant.
