Hubbard’s Marina and the entire John's Pass Village & Boardwalk area faced significant challenges due to recent storms, particularly the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The storm proved devastating for the Gulf beaches, inflicting widespread damage and causing substantial losses. The marina experienced heavy flooding and destruction, with the main dock completely demolished, the seafood market reduced to ruins, and the fuel systems heavily damaged. The flooding also severely impacted the marina's t-shirt shop, which serves as a hub for selling souvenirs and tickets.

The rebuild and recovery process, though challenging, turned out to be a unique and inspiring journey for the community. Witnessing the people of John's Pass come together in the face of adversity was truly touching. Their combined efforts led to an immediate start on the cleanup, and the community wasted no time in working toward rebuilding what was lost. Remarkably, the damaged dock was reconstructed in just five days, showcasing the determination and resilience of the community members.
