Sheffield Park

February 11, 2025 Walk with Mom, Ashley, Bronco, Fletch! Grew up on Ironwood Court from 1994-2011 going to Sheffield Park and Harbor Palms Nature Park, nice seeing how much it has grown, use to fish all the time on the wooden dock that’s no longer there! But still beautiful at sunset! On the canal trail! Walked here August 24, 2023 August 24, 2023 we stopped by Sheffield Park to see the sunset and do a little walk. It was nice to see where I grew up for 20 years. Since I haven't lived in Florida since February 2011.

In Oñdsmsr for 35 years now, we used to come visit this park, only 2 blocks from our daughter’s house. Our grandsons played softball and other sports here. It’s a great place for a casual stroll, a spirited run, a great playground for the kiddies. Or a picnic with 3 different covered areas with tables. A regulation softballl court with a resident Osprey nest watching over the games. A dog park area for running and playing. A wonderful kids area with tons of activities for the kids. There are also high screened courts that may have been for tennis but now maybe pickleball. A nice biking/jogging trail through the park that leads to a continued paved trail beside a tarpon Canal for a good stretch. But the highlight for me was the huge mural on the sidewalk at the entrance by Noelle Jordan Stillwell, Floridian artist. Beautifully drawn Florida Butterñues and Flowers. What a neat way to welcome people into the park. Plenty of parking by entrance. Open Dawn until 9 PM. Check it out.

This park has a lot to offer. There’s a nice playground, a ball field, a fenced in dog park, disc golf and nice scenery. I’d love to see the kayak launch opened up and some attention given to the grass less dog areas. The opportunity to add more local art here is also great.

This is a nice park that is tucked back into a neighborhood, and it is along the Oldsmar trail. It has a 3 story play area, a 4 swing set, a monkey bar obstacle course, basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, disc golf course, dog park area, a bathroom, a few covered pavilions with picnic tables, and scenic trail along the water. That parking lot is decent size but fills up fast on the weekends.

Nice place for games and picnics…as well as fishing, biking and walking paths.
