The Coliseum
The South's finest ballroom opens its oak dance floor for everything from ballroom dancing to corporate functions. The historic Coliseum was built in 1924, and purchased by the City of St. Petersburg in 1989. The Coliseum has undergone extensive renovations, making it one of the Tampa Bay area's most unique multi-use facilities. The Coliseum is located in downtown St. Petersburg in the local historic district. Over 800 parking spaces are within convenient walking distance, as are many downtown restaurants, shops & hotels
The Coliseum hosts a variety of events such as: Fund Raisers/Banquets, Concerts, Trade Shows/Arts & Crafts Fairs, Corporate Functions, Training Seminars, Dances and Teen Events, Homecoming Balls & Proms, Weddings and Sporting Events. The seating capacity can be set for Banquet w/dance floor - 600-800 ( 60" round tables) , Banquet no dance floor - 1600 ( 8' banquet tables ), Dance Floor , Concert and Tradeshowt - 2000

I went to the oddities exhibit and it was so much fun. Parking was a little tight, but we also arrived after the event started. We did find some really cool things like the pictures below, and this was a really great backdrop for my pup.
A New Year's Eve to remember at the St Petersburg Coliseum for a 1950's Thened Swing Dance. The dancing was great. The music wore you out because it was nice to dance to. The Coliseum is a Really Fantastic Esthetically Wonderful. Very clean and a rich history. They have so many events, so check your calendar for one that matches your taste or desire. You will not be disappointed. r......
Visited here on 3/7/2026 for the Florida Antiquarian Book Fair. It was well organized but the A/C was fighting for its life and I was too lol. It was pretty stifling inside but otherwise we enjoyed visiting. If you come here, bring a fan though!
We went for MLW wrestling and the staff was wonderful. They directed us in quickly and the place was very clean. The bathrooms were maintained while we were there. They had food on site and had vendors around for merchandise. The seats were clearly marked and easy to figure out. Would definitely go back for future events.
A nice clean facility! There was even a worker in the ladies room making sure it stayed clean! Great place for graduations! Plenty of parking and lots of spaces for handicapped parking also.
