Chihuly Collection

We are big fans of Dale Chihuly, so the Chihuly Collection was high on our list of places to visit in St. Petersburg. It did not disappoint. This is the largest exhibition of his work we have seen, second only to the spectacular 'Chihuly in the Desert' exhibition we visited in Palm Springs a few years ago. The glass art is beautifully displayed, with dramatic lighting that brings out the extraordinary colors, shapes, and details of each piece. The variety of works makes walking through the galleries a fascinating experience from beginning to end. We also appreciated the highly informative video about Chihuly and the process of creating his glass art. It added valuable context to what we had just seen in the galleries. Before leaving, be sure to visit the very well-stocked gift shop, which offers an impressive selection of Chihuly-related items. For anyone who appreciates glass art, or simply wants to experience something truly unique, the Chihuly Collection is a must-see in St. Petersburg.

If you like glass art and of course Chihuly work, then this is for you. A lovely but small collection, well presented without being overwhelming. A lovely museum and don’t miss the short film on Dale Chihuly. My favorite exhibit however was the glass makes my show literally 1 minute down the road and included in your entry fee - do not miss this - simply excellent and well presented although it can get a little hot (to be expected 😊).

We love Chihuly! This was our first visit to the collection in Tampa, and it had some really great pieces for its collection. We enjoyed the informal movie that talked a little about his life and process as well as some details about some of his exhibitions. If compared to the Seattle Collection, this one is much smaller, but it’s still worth the visit. Pair it with the glass blowing demonstration too and you won’t be disappointed!

This amazing, colorful glass art gallery is a must go! I normally like to post pictures; however, I posted minimal so it’s a nice surprise for y’all. It takes only about 30 minutes to meander through and you also have access to go to an hourly live glass blowing workshop across the street! Just check their schedule because I don’t know if there are summer hours (too hot!)

Absolutely loved visiting the Chihuly Museum in downtown St. Pete! The experience was both visually stunning and incredibly informative. I really enjoyed learning about the beginnings of Chihuly glass and how the artist developed his unique style over time. The presentation of the artwork is beautifully done—each piece is displayed in a way that makes it feel immersive and engaging. Every room had something new and interesting to take in, and the creativity behind each installation is just amazing. This is definitely a must-see when you’re in downtown St. Pete. Highly recommend!
