Casa Tina

Food was amazing and service was even better! Do not hesitate to eat here unless you hate the most amazing Mexican food! And I’m from Miami I KNOW MEXICAN! Heinz was fantastic. Her suggestions were on point, and someone should listen to her about adding blackened chicken to the Fajitas!

Casa Tina has been one of my favorite restaurants in Dunedin for more than 20 years, and it continues to be one of the true gems of our downtown. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and authentic, and it has become one of those special places that feels woven into the fabric of the community itself. The food is consistently outstanding, and the homemade salsa with the chips is still one of my favorite things anywhere in town. I almost always order the beef burrito, which has been a longtime favorite of mine, and it never disappoints. One of the things that stands out most about Casa Tina is the people. It is genuinely impressive to see staff members who have been there for well over a decade. That kind of employee retention says a lot about the ownership, the culture, and the experience they create both for employees and customers alike. Familiar faces, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere are part of what keeps people coming back year after year. Restaurants like Casa Tina help make Dunedin such a special place to live and visit, and I am grateful they have been part of our community for so long.

First visit to Casa Tina and we enjoyed it. I will say that the prices here are quite high so not a place I could visit on a regular basis. We ordered lower priced items. We ordered Monterrey Nachos ($13.95) which had black beans, Monterrey Jack & queso fresco cheeses, sour cream and sliced jalapeños. Quesadillas with cheese and a fire roasted salsa for dipping ($10.50) and we ordered American Tacos with Cactus, tomato, lettuce, cheese and sour cream ($16.95). Service is friendly and as attentive as we wanted. The restaurant is decorated for Christmas so it felt nice and festive. You can tell that the restaurant is normally decorated really nice and stylish. The food is tasty and fresh. Definitely a place to consider visiting if you are on the area.

We stopped in on a busy Saturday night without reservations and were surprised to be seated right away. I called ahead to see if we could make reservations but they said it was over a 30 minute wait. Not sure what changed within the 10 minutes it took us to arrive but it was a nice surprise. The service was awesome - very attentive and made great suggestions. The food was good and tasted really fresh.

I’ve been here twice and both times were amazing. The margaritas and mojitos are exceptional and the bartenders are super nice. I got the chicken street tacos with rice and refried beans each time and it never disappoints. New favorite Mexican restaurant.
