Bon-Aire Resort Motel

Once again we were not disappointed by our stay at the Bon Aire Resort. We really enjoyed the quick access to the beach, two wonderful pools to relax in and great food from Sand Bar Bill's. It was so great to teach our young grandchildren the fine art of shuffleboard too. The staff were amazing and the work never stopped around the place. We saw constant effort to keep everything nice. Landscaping looks wonderful and the rooms are very clean. Always a helpful individual around to answer questions. We all look forward to a return trip to the Bon Aire.

A HIDDEN GEM. I have stayed in all kinds of places from "over water bungalows" in Bora Bora to Motel 6's off the highway. For me it is about, value for the money. Ugh, I hate to say it (because sending more people to this UTOPIAN OASIS may interfere with my future reservations)...but it is heaven! The staff, room, general vibe of this place is idyllic and is the definition of "vacation". I will say many, if not most, guests are repeat customers, for many years. Reasonable rates... Fabulously clean rooms... A wonderful location with more frontage than most of the surrounding properties. BETTER than the famous Clearwater Beach, because it is not crowded. Very accommodating staff. And above all, a great vibe to have a nice time. I can't wait to return.

This is a great place to stay. The staff is excellent and the rooms are very well maintained. The beachfront location is hard to beat. We ended up extending our stay but we had to switch rooms since the room we were staying in was booked by someone else for the night we were scheduled to check out. The front desk personnel made the room transition seamless. We also got into both rooms earlier than the normal check-in time since they were available. Both of our rooms were the studio units. They are the smallest rooms in the resort but “feel” bigger than they actually are because they are laid out well. Perfectly fine for my wife and I. Both rooms were very clean and well-maintained. One very nice perk is the Keurig coffee maker with complimentary coffee pods (a recent addition). Nice! Another IMPORTANT AND WONDERFUL amenity is the beach bar (Sandbar Bill’s). It is directly on the beachfront near one of the two pools. Drink prices are very reasonable (well below traditional resort prices). The food selection is somewhat limited and everything is ala carte. It would be nice to have some type of side items included with the entrees. They don’t have a deep fryer, so no fries, onion rings, etc. are on the menu. I had the cheeseburger, which was outstanding. My wife had the veggie nachos. The nachos were not quite what we expected but everyone has different tastes and preferences. We will try some of the other food items on our next visit, as there were several other items that look appealing! The bar is an OUTSTANDING addition to the resort experience. This resort offers a few perks that are rare these days, including: • Complimentary beach loungers • Keurig coffee maker with complimentary coffee pods • Free parking • Free internet • No resort fees. In fact, there are NO extra charges of any kind-room rate plus taxes only! • A LOT of beachfront chairs and loungers for socializing and watching sunsets, etc. Some are even partially covered. • BBQ grills The grounds and landscaping in this resort are also very tasteful and inviting. Very unique. I want to recognize a few people that we interacted with during our stay, as they all provided top-notch service. Front desk: Janice and Alex. There was another lady who was also very nice and helpful but I forgot to get her name (so sorry about that). She was there Tuesday morning with Janice. Sandbar Bill’s: Matt, Sarah, Jordan, and John. All were very friendly and provided great service! Housekeeping: LaMonica. We ran across her several times around the resort and each time she asked us if we needed anything. She was very outgoing and friendly. We don’t know who serviced our two rooms but both were very clean and well-stocked. Be aware that the cancellation policy is a bit strict at this establishment (14-days notice is required). This has been a family-owned establishment for 70 years. The founders would be proud! We live just over an hour away and will be back soon!

Once again another wonderful weekend with family and friends. We first started visiting Bon Aire in 2018 and try to return every year as it’s one of our favorite places. We park our car and do not restart it until it’s time to head home. Everything we need is right at our finger tips at The Bon Aire. Clean rooms, friendly staff, restaurants within walking distance and an on site bar and grill. What more could you ask for!

Always a great time with family and friends at The Bon. So good to see it in decent shape after all the hurricane chaos. One suggestion, for the higher prices we are paying, we definitely need a couple of more sand washing shower stations as guests come in from the beach. A lot of people are using the pools to clean the sand off, which can’t be good for the pool equipment. Prior to the hurricanes, there was 3 beach showers. Now there is only one and it’s in very poor operating condition. Not much to ask 🤓
