Craft Beer Trail

The St. Pete/Clearwater Craft Beer Trail runs from Tarpon Springs to Gulfport---an hour's drive, end to end. Think of it as the Sunshine State's answer to California's wine country. Along the Trail you'll stumble upon an array of small, independent breweries crafting fresh artisanal beers unavailable anywhere else. Join other beer enthusiasts and sample them right on the spot, take a tour, meet the brewer and cart some beer home with you.

Both beergeeks and newbies will find something to like, but everyone will want to taste the area's signature craft beer: Florida Weisse, a Berliner Weisse-style beer (tart, low-alcohol, highly carbonated) given a unique spin by local brewers during the fermentation process through the addition of fresh fruits like key lime, raspberry, mango, dragon fruit, pineapple and passion fruit.

1 3 Daughters Brewing

Previous BellaBrava (an Italian favorite in St. Pete) co-owner Mike Harting and head chef Ty Weaver joined forces for this ambitious project in a former industrial supply building on the edge of the Warehouse Arts District and the Grand Central District in St. Pete. Weaver tested his brews at the restaurant for a year. Head into the warehouse to see the brewhouse in action. THE VIBE: A spacious, modern tasting room (look for the handprints of Harting's three daughters on the bar). THE TASTES: Brown Pelican Dunkelweizen, Beach Blonde blonde ale, Summer Storm oatmeal stout.
