Feathery Friends
We aren't the only ones who are confident we will remain unaffacted. Wildlife officials recently released 32 brown pelicans that were rescued from the oil slick in Louisiana. The birds were thoroughly cleaned and transported to their new home right here in our own backyard. With no threat of oil impacting area beaches in any way, we were thrilled to welcome our new feathered friends to our little slice of paradise. Cassidy Lejeune, a biologist with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, said he was confident these beautiful birds would do well in their new home.Clean Gulf and Beaches
