Free Fun at the St. Pete Shuffle
Shuffleboard: it's not just for the older folks any more. In 2005, a group of young artists called The Artillery took up the game at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club--the world's largest and oldest of its kind--to host Friday night games. At first, about 35 members of the group participated. When word got around about the party atmosphere, complete with music and food, the club grew to 600 members, and decided to open Friday night games up for free to the public. The Friday Night Shuffle was born.
