Games at the Dali: Open Chess
Celebrate the gamesmanship of Dali and Duchamp at the Dali Museum! From strategic chess moves to diversions of alter ego creation, these two iconoclasts engaged the world in ways both playful and thoughtful, irreverent and important. Drop in between 10 am – 4 pm to observe ranked Tampa Bay area chess players battle it out on the chess board throughout the day. Additional chess boards will be available for visitors to play spontaneous games as well. Stay later for the Surreal Simul Chess, a chess night where three chess champions will each play up to 20 people at one time. Entry fee is $5 and check-in time is at 5:30 – 6 pm.
