Earth Day 50th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate Earth Day's 50th Anniversary, as well as the 20th Anniversary of the Florida Botanical Gardens! The Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation encourages everyone, young and old take the initiative on the Earth Day message to "think globally and act locally" as environmental stewards of planet Earth.

Join for teach-ins in the auditorium throughout the morning, on conservation and pollination. Browse booths from local nonprofit organizations, focused on sustainability, environmental management, and more. Enjoy games and activities for all ages, centered around Project Wild curriculum for environmental education. Water-Wise Workshop in the Visitor Center, brought to you by the UF/IFAS Extension Services. Mid-day Tree Planting Ceremony, on behalf of the Florida Botanical Gardens and Parks and Conservation Resources. St. Pete Concessions will be available for purchase.

When: Saturday, April 18th, 2020, from 10am-2pm.

Admission: This event is free to the public, but donations will be accepted at the gates.
