Boxcar #113 069-5, part of The Florida Holocaust Museum permanent exhibition

The Museum features a permanent exhibition of one-of-a-kind artifacts from the Holocaust, and traveling exhibitions of art and history. One of three Holocaust Museums accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the Museum uses the lessons of the past to help create a better future for all. Since its founding in 1989, The Museum's focus has been to tell the story of millions who suffered or died during the Holocaust through the personal testimonies, official documentation, photographs and artifacts of individual narratives. These individual narratives provide the springboard to contemplate the global consequences of the Holocaust, to celebrate the tenacity of the Survivors, and to examine the motives of those who stood up, spoke out and took action in the face of great personal risk. Their stories encourage our visitors to reflect on their own choices, individual responsibilities, and the importance of recognizing and maintaining one's core values during demanding situations. New to the museum: Dimensions in Testimony (DiT) from USC Shoah Foundation. Dimensions in Testimony is an initiative by USC Shoah Foundation to record and display testimony in a way that will preserve the dialogue between Holocaust Survivors and learners far into the future. Developed in 2010, Dimensions in Testimony combines ultra-high-definition filming and voice activation to allow a conversational and interactive experience between Holocaust Survivors and audiences. At its core, the Dimensions in Testimony program is another way to access and learn from Survivor testimony.
