Named by Sunshine Artist magazine among the "100 Best" fine arts events in the United States, the Mainsail Arts Festival is a leading cultural event on St. Petersburg's outdoor calendar. Make your way through the more than 250 booths nestled between swaying palm trees that display work from some of the nation's top visual artists. This long running popular annual weekend event also includes live music, children's activities and a culinary arts food court.

St. Petersburg's beautiful downtown waterfront Vinoy Park provides a picturesque setting for this juried art festival that includes ceramics, fibers, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, oil/acrylic, photography, sculpture, watercolor and wood. Every turn brings a fresh artisitic surprise, from grand sculptures to Over 100,000 visitors from near and far come to enjoy and purchase quality art and listen to top name entertainment. Participating artists are competing for $50,000 in prize money, including $10,000 for the Best of Show.

Young artisans can display their work and compete for a chance to showcase their art in a competition specifically for grades K-12. The Young at ARt student competition has been a part of Mainsail for ten years and gives youthful artists a prime venue to further their talents. Little ones can also practice their favoriate crafts at the show at the "Kids Create" tent.

Admission is free. This two-day event combines exceptional visual and performing arts along with a spectacular outdoor venue. See you on the waterfront!
