Pride celebrates a month of events throughout the St. Pete-Clearwater area. Below are a sampling of the many funfilled days that can be spent enjoying community, food, sun, dancing and more.
Pride Events in Dunedin
North Pinellas Pride hosts an Annual Pride Event in Dunedin, Florida. Weekend events include "Wigstock, the Movie", Diva Spectacular at Blur Nightclub, Pride beach day, Pinellas Pride Family Picnic, Tea Dance, gay bowling and more. The event is a collaboration of forces between North Pinellas Pride and the City of Dunedin. The City of Dunedin is one of the only communities in the county to offer same sex partner benefits in their employment package along with language to bar discrimination.
Dinner and a Movie
Each year, the Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival (TIGLFF) presents an exclusive screening from award winning writers and directors. The event showcases a selection of compelling films and video by, for or about the GLBT community that entertains, enlightens and celebrates the Festival audience. St. Pete Pride Promenade and Street Festival
This is one of the largest GLBT events in the state of Florida. Taking place along the Grand Central District Association of downtown St. Petersburg along 21st Street (Soho Gallery) to 28th Street of Central Avenue. Last year the event was attended by over 85,000 people. Vendors celebrate their commitment to diversity with food, beverages, music and other concessions.
