Canadian Travel Agent Update
- On February 2nd VSPC will host the second annual Canadian Appreciation event at Florida Huddle. Approx. 13 Tour Operator Partners, Canadian Media, Tracy Vaughan & Maureen Wright from VISIT FLORIDA will join the VSPC leisure travel team and industry partners for a reception in Ft. Lauderdale. This appreciation event is a wonderful opportunity to network with these key clients outside of the Huddle appointments.
- VSPC & Tampa Bay & Company are working on a Canadian Sales Mission for late spring/early summer. Agent events will be planned in Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City. (The CAA office in Quebec City is the sister club of AAA Auto Club South in Tampa). This Mission will tie into our annual “Beaches & Baseball” event which is tentatively scheduled for 8/13/12.
- Thomas Cook Product Launch is usually August – but dates are still TBD.
- VSPC was featured in the December “Guess-Where” contest on itravel2000. Barefoot Beach Resort, Sunset Vistas & StarLite Cruises provided hotel stays and dinner cruises to prize winners. This contest provided VSPC with great exposure on the itravel2000 website.
- Working on a joint FAM with Tampa Bay & Company for WestJet. Dates and details of the FAM are being discussed and partners will be advised when specifics are decided.
- The April VSPC/Pow Wow event will be held in Los Angeles. All participating Canadian Tour Operators and Media will be invited.
- Toronto Grand Prix client event will be July 7th & 8th
- Discover America Media Day in Toronto is October 2nd followed by the CT Travel Shows in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
- Ongoing advertising
1. Sunwing Vacations Toronto Star newspaper advertising through April.
2. Takes on Travel/Travel Industry Today – web banners through May.
3. Merit Golf Vacations – Co-op Advertising with Innisbrook – travel agent, web, e-mail and print.
