The May 21-23 44 hr. trip to Middle Grounds Capt. Rich ran was fantastic! Departure was 8pm Friday and the first drop we boxed gag grouper and mango snapper. The night bite was good. Things slowed up in the heat of the day Saturday; but after sunset the gags and mango's were back! Throughout the trip American Red Snapper were being caught, we have a spot in the cooler for them beginning June 1st when the season opens!We stayed on the grouper and snapper bite throughout the trip. The AJ's that we caught were big! Capt. George got a few in the 50lb class.
