Description

See, touch and learn about the marine creatures native to the Florida Gulf Coast! Through a partnership with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, The Sea Life Safari catch and release program is the only cruise in the area; licensed to pull a trawl net, which gathers a variety of small marine life.  Puffer Fish, File Fish, Sea Urchin and Pin Fish are among the species likely to be caught.  Horseshoe Crab, Sea Stars (Starfish) Sea Horeses and other fascinating sea life are also quite possible to show up in the net. A Clearwater Marine Aquarium marine specialist guides each trip. The two-hour tour is narrated throughout the excusion and also includes an up-close viewing of a protected island bird sanctuary nestled in the mangroves, and a shelling excursion on beautiful Compass Island!  The Sea Life Safari Cruise departs from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and the Clearwater Beach Marina.
