Reclaim Our Coasts - Fort De Soto Park & Shell Key Preserve Cleanup

Jun. 5, 2016

This fun and educational beach clean up will focus on improving the conservation of our natural habitats for sea turtles and marine life. Volunteers will pick up trash, abandoned fishing gear and discarded plastics to ensure sea turtles have a safe place to go during nesting season. Help is needed on foot, by kayak/canoe and in the shallow backwaters from 7 a.m. to noon. A free and family-friendly event; water, snacks, garbage bags, and goodie bags (while supplies last) will be provided. Meet at the Gulf Pier Shelter at Fort De Soto Park.
