NIGHTLY - Sunset Celebration
Sunsets at Pier 60 spotlights street performers, artisans and small rides. Two hours before sunset until two hours after.
WEEKLY - Farmers' Markets
Farmers’ markets: Buy fresh local produce and more six days a week at any of these downtown farmers' markets: Tuesdays year-round in Gulfport; Wednesdays in Clearwater (October - May) and Oldsmar (November - April); Thursdays in Safety Harbor (November - May); Fridays in Dunedin (mid-October - April); Saturdays year-round in St. Petersburg and Largo (November - April); Sundays in St. Pete Beach (November - April).
Perhaps the granddaddy of the area farmers’ markets is the one held on Saturday mornings in St. Pete. More than 100 vendors sell everything from organic honey to freshly picked fruits and vegetables and baked goods. Artists offer colorful hand-woven baskets, pottery, jewelry and original clothing for sale. Live music adds to the festive atmosphere. Al Lang Field parking lot at the corner of First Avenue South and First Street (9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays from early October to late May). A smaller version of the market is open during the summer at the Mahaffey Theater parking garage, 400 First St. S., St. Petersburg.
FIRST FRIDAY & THIRD SATURDAY - Art Walk
Gulfport Art Walks run along Beach Boulevard, 6 to 10 p.m. Arts vendors, live entertainment. Stores are open late, with many serving snacks. 727-322-5217
FIRST FRIDAY - Street Party
Come join the "Get Downtown Street Party" with live music and a festive atmosphere on St. Pete's Central Avenue between Second and Third streets, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Celebrating its 14th year. 727-455-4921
THIRD FRIDAY - Music
At the Safety Harbor Music Series, live entertainment abounds around the town’s signature gazebo. Downtown shops, restaurants open late. 727-724-1572
FIRST SATURDAY - Surreal Style for Kids
"Breakfast with Dali" gives kids ages 5 to 12 an age-appropriate tour of the newly opened Dali Museum, followed by a breakfast buffet. 727-823-3767
SECOND SATURDAY - Gallery Walk
Explore on foot or ride the Central Avenue Shuttle in downtown St. Petersburg to visit galleries during the St. Petersburg Gallery Walk. Galleries are located from the eclectic Grand Central District to the downtown waterfront. 727-323-2787
SATURDAYS - Art Mart
The patio in historic Pass-a-Grille beach is home to the Suntan Art Mart, where visitors can wander through local artists' wares finding treasures for home and heartn a beautiful relaxed coastal setting. Every week from 9-2pm. www.suntanart.org
