Resort Spa Sampler

Loews Don CeSar Hotel
Philosophy: Timeless tranquility. The Spa Oceana relies on the healing power of water, from its hypnotic rhythm to the health benefits of sea salts and seaweed.

Aura: Mediterranean meditation meets Gulf of Mexico vistas. Mosaics inspired by the water and whitewashed walls evoke ancient Greece, while tropical furnishings and the sounds of the sea honor the local landscape.

Signature: The Spa Oceana Body Treatment begins with a marine salt exfoliation, after which guests are wrapped in remineralized seawater gel, followed by a warm shower and a gentle massage.

Stargazing: Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake and Mariah Carey, to name-drop a few.

Fresh Ideas: A rooftop garden overlooks the Gulf of Mexico; here, guests can relax in the salty air while listening to the lapping of the surf or music on a spa-provided iPod.

Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club
Philosophy: Named Indaba, which is Zulu for "gathering place," this new spa seeks to unite mind and body with relaxing treatments, a fitness studio and an elaborate labyrinth for meditation.

Aura: Surrounded by 900 acres of woodlands, greens and tranquil gardens, the 18,000-sq.-ft. spa takes advantage of its soothing setting. The 12 treatment rooms have private terraces; a fireplace in the couples' treatment rooms adds rustic romance.

Signature: The Ethu Indaba Signature Facial uses extracts of fruits, herbs, flowers and exotic spices from Hungary. "Ice Creme Social" manicures and pedicures use an exfoliating scrub in a variety of delicious scents ... and come with a tasty ice cream cone.

Stargazing: You may see celebrity pro golfers such as Tiger Woods and Retief Goosen around as the Innisbrook Golf Club hosts an annual PGA tournament.

Fresh Ideas: A large, open labyrinth of green between the spa and fitness center is an inspirational respite designed for reflection.

Safety Harbor Resort and Spa
Philosophy: Well-being, the natural way. Set among ancient mineral springs, the spa has been healing locals and travelers for centuries, from 16th-century Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto to the first resort spa guests in 1945 to present-day visitors.

Aura: A modern take on history. The renovated spa honors the resort’s past as a sanatorium with vintage photos, a return to elegance and royal pampering. Spring water from the property is used for treatments, as are exclusive Kerstin Florian products.

Signature: The Aroma Therapy Massage and the Signature Caviar Facial are a treat.

Stargazing: Spa guests may include performers appearing at nearby Ruth Eckerd Hall.

Fresh Ideas: The 30 treatment rooms, including ones made for couples, are multipurpose so guests can enjoy back-to-back treatments without leaving the room.
