Let's Rock 'n Roll

Story highlights:
    • Downtown St. Pete hosts its first Rock 'n' Roll Marathon
    • Live, local bands along the course
    • Finish line festival and concert
Runners

Music is the heart and "sole" of this exciting event. More than a marathon, this moving party gets both spectators and runners "dancin' in the streets". Tunes flow freely as live bands perform everything from classic and punk rock to blues, jazz and soul in mini-concerts along the race course. Spirited cheer squads also pump up the pace. Winding through the streets of St. Pete, including the unique Grand Central District Association, and with scenic waterfront vistas and incredible weather, everyone can join in the fun.

While bands set the tempo for runners at the start line, friends and family can join in the nearby spectator block party on race morning. Free mimosa's will be flowing at this official gathering located in and around Ferg's Sports Bar & Grill. And, no need to worry about drinking and driving, a convenient $5 shuttle will be available from the block party to the finish line.

Finish Line Festival and Concert

Get ready to rock-out and celebrate everyone's accomplishment at the post-race concert. Headlining is none other than the hip hop superstar Flo Rida. If that doesn't get you a good feeling, nothing will. Located at North Shore Park this free festival keeps the party going while reuniting fans and runners after the 13 mile race.
